        BE GOOD

by Rosie Mitchell

Romans 10:9-10 says, “that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” Christ died to save us about 2,000 years ago yet you don’t experience salvation until you act on faith. This is pretty much how every blessing or gift in the kingdom of God operates: it is done for you, but you have to cash in on it. The blessing is in position and available for our experiencing once we demonstrate the faith to receive. Ephesians 1:3 reads, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ…” The key words to pick up on are “has blessed” which demonstrates that it has been done already. So if it is done then why are you not experiencing?

Healing in Salvation

God commands us to do good, be good, and to not grow weary in doing good. We are exhorted to not let evil get the best of us but to conquer and overcome evil by doing good. The word also tells us that God anointed Jesus with the Holy Spirit and miraculous power and He went around doing good and healing all that were oppressed of the devil, for God was with him. (Acts 10:38) Goodness is a fruit of the Holy Spirit. We are to be imitators of God, following in Jesus footsteps, by doing the things He did. He has given us the same Holy Spirit to live inside of our spirit and that part of every true Believer is perfect. He broke the power of sin and death so that we are able to accomplish the good works that He ordained before the foundations of the world. He has given us His written word so that our souls can be changed. Our souls involve the mind, thought life, will, and emotions.
